Pottery in the Park is the most important fundraiser for the LMRA Pottery Studio.

Each year the members of this Studio stage one of the best open-air pottery shows in Fort Worth. This involves a tremendous amount of work.

We need YOU!

Donate a couple hours of your time to help your Studio. The rules:

  • Volunteers must be current Studio members
  • If you have a booth, you may volunteer no more than four hours during open hours
  • Members without booths may volunteer as much time as they'd like
  • Please provide your cellphone number

Volunteers are needed in the following areas:

  • Advertising: Send out the "Call to Artists"; prepare press releases; contact on-line event calendar sites; create flyers and postcards - Contact Orbry for more info.
  • Artist Registration: Receive artists' applications and payments; contact artists with booth information; post locations on pavilions
  • Demonstrations: Help with set-up and take-down of demo areas, or volunteer to demonstrate wheel throwing or hand-building.
  • Raku Glaze Table: Help visitors glaze their own pots. You will be trained on the procedure prior to the event. Contact Thea for more info.
  • Bake Sale
  • Raffle Table
  • Raku yard: Help fire visitors' pots. You will be trained on the procedure prior to the event. Contact Thea for more information.
  • Mini-show: Photograph the winners of the August mini-show for postcards.
  • Facilities: Help with signs, barricades, set-up, and traffic direction. Contact Bobby for more information.

We also need Committee Heads for Volunteer Coordinator and Demonstrations.
